Where to buy Kukris in Nepal??

Sorry if this is a bad place to talk about getting other kukris other the the HI one but i know somone going over to Nepal to do some canoeing.
Any place in particular to pick a resonable quality kukri at a decent price??
Is there a factory sort of place where HI get there kukris from??

Since there is essentially martial law in Nepal and has been for a couple of months I don't know anymore. My guess is, however, that your pal will be able to find some fair quality khukuris in shops around Thamel. Just poke around and buyer beware.

I'd be very, very careful traveling around, especially by canoe.
