Where to buy Mylar backed 400 to 1500 grit

I did some searching but came up empty. I want to hand polish som blades using the 90 Deg. graduated grit method. I also want to polish the bores on some of my rifles and this is why I need the mylar backed product.

Though I may not have a choice in the mylar backed, would aluminum or silicon be preferable ( must be non-inbedding in chrome moly steels ).
