It's getting about time for me to spend the 'ole Christmas money and I know it's definitely going to be on a Spyderco.

I'm really looking to get a new VG-10 model. Maybe the Endura or Harpy or Matriarch or something; I'm not sure.

My question is where is the best place online to buy the new models that use VG-10 steel?

Ok, ok I have another question. I'm also looking at the Chinook, and I want to know exactly how difficult it is to sharpen. I'm decent at using the 204, and I can usually get a razor edge, but do you guys think I'll have trouble with the Chinook??

Thanks!:p

You WILL have problems with the Chinook and the 204 if you don't get a pair of the new diamond coated sleeves that should be availiable soon for the 204.

I have had no problems sharpening 440V Spyderco knives with the regular medium and fine stones included with the Sharpmaker. You should be just fine.

I would be very careful when I order one of the older knives with the VG-10 steel. Be very specific that you want the VG-10. I ordered a Viele recently (one month ago) and was sent the older AUS-8 version, to his credit the distributor did swap them out for me. So then I ordered another knife from him, a Camillus EDC in 154CM, and he sent me a 420HC model! Jeez! Good Luck!
