Recommendation? Where to buy pivot washers

Sometimes I like to tinker with my folding knives, and in a few cases I lose the washers.

I just picked up a Buck Spitfire today, and it had gritty action and was not closing without pushing down on the blade. Usually Buck lock backs have enough spring to snap the blade closed, but this one did not.

So I opened it up to clean and polish the tang interface, and promptly lost one of the very small translucent washers.

I was wondering if anyone knows where a person could order a variety of nylon and/or bronze washers.

Thanks for any help you folks can provide.

I get most of my BP washers from USAKnifemaker. I also get some from Knifekits.com.

When you buy BP washers from USAKnifemaker you have to buy a minimum of 5 pairs of any given size. But they're inexpensive and USAKnifemaker is a good company to deal with.

I keep a wide variety of BP washers on hand.

Thanks, I'll see what they offer.

Do you know how the sizing works?

Thickness, width, hole size?

In regards to USAKnifemaker-

Thicknesses- .005", .010", .015", .020"

I've also purchased .016", but I don't recall exactly where I got them.

Outer Diameters-

5/16" (listed as .317")
3/8" (listed as .375)
1/2" (listed as .500")
5/8" (listed as .625")

And there are some smaller than 5/16" (like really small).

Inner Diameters-

1/8" (.125")
3/16" (.189")
1/4" (.250")

Knifekits also has a variety of sizes but I don't remember them off the top of my head.

Well I contacted Buck, and being that I opened the knife I voided the warranty. However, they stated I could send it in for complementary repair, which is still pretty great service.

The cost of shipping sorta negates the low price of the knife itself, but hey, I am a knife nut so what the heck.

I will send this in, and because I like the model so much I ordered another one to boot.

Yep. It's a sickness....
