The orginal R had both a skeleton blade and handle, as did the Q, the difference was size, material, lock, and overall quality. The Q's were neat little "low end" models meant to be used as advertising vehicles by other companies. The one below is the most common design, but black handles and a serrated edge are far more common that this grey plain edged one.
This one was done for Blade Magazine, not sure if they were sold, or given with subscriptions, something in between.
The R was "high end" all the way, only variants on it were plain or serrated edge, all blades had the same skeleton pattern.
The above shots are somewhat deceptive, in that the Q is considerably smaller than the R. The two below give a better idea of relative size.
As for picking up either a Q or an original run skeleton bladed R, gun shows, eBay, and the Exchange forum here are your best bets.
