I wasn't sure where to post this but thought this might be the best place to start.

I'm having trouble finding certain whetstones in stock ... so I've been searching for other places to possibly order them ... and I found them in stock (without posting a link hope this is ok) ... at ... chef knifes to go ... does anyone have experience buying here or know if it's a decent place to buy from?

Thanks JJ

CKTG and Sharpening supplies are both very good vendors. If being in stock is an issue then you could always look for the stones you want on Amazon or from eBay dealers.

I ordered some from Sharpening Supplies but they didn't have a couple stones in stock but CKTG does ... I just had never ordered from them and I wasn't familiar with them ... I'll order from them now.

Thanks for the replies JJ

CKTG is a great place to shop! Lee Valley. ToolsFromJapan. Dieter Schmid. None have ever let me down (TFJ does take a while to process your order).

Thanks I found what I was wanting at CKTG and got it ordered ... I'm just getting into better quality stones ... think the old ones I have have sharpened their last knives.

Now to catch up my ability to the new stones.

I got some Shapton Glass and some Chosera Professional Stones ... but there was one grit of the Shapton I had trouble finding .... and I picked up an Atoma from CKTG.

Yeah but it was past time to update ... and then having added some new steels into the mix ... what I had weren't made for these new "super steels" as they like to call them.

So early Christmas present to myself (before hunting season gets any farther along)

If you are in the US I'm sure you will get them quickly.

The last couple times I ordered from CKTG I had my stuff within 4 days.
Nice company to do business with.
