Where to buy tigers eye stones?
I am having a hard time finding these. None of my local stores carry gemstones. Gemselect.com is overpriced at $20 for 5 gems. Ebay doesn't have much.

I am looking for a 1 or 2 pound bag. I am also looking for a 1 or 2 pound bag of assorted gemstones.

Anything out there?

Thanks

Look for area Gem shows usually ran by a local gem society. I used to go to these shows and saw lots of Tiger eye etc.
Also look for "New Age" type shops they always sell crystals and other semiprecious stones.

Dave is the best dealer I've found in northern Illinois. They ship, but I've only shopped in the store. The web site shows less than 5% of their stock. They sell mixed and selected stones by weight. My wife buys stones by the strand when she sees what she likes, faceted or unfaceted beads (obviously all drilled), and has them made into necklaces, earrings or bracelets when she has funds. This is her strand of faceted aquamarines.

Amazon. I ordered quite a few different bulk stones from them. Read the reviews, some suppliers are better than others. I was pleased. None were perfect, but most were average or better than what you see in the 'new age' type shops. Much better prices too.
