just wondering if you guys know anywhere to buy high presure tube fasteners (takes high pressure to flare out) for handles.

ive seen mosaic tubing, but im looking for something like busse uses. didnt think i had the equipement for it before, but im pretty sure i can jerry rig a 12 ton bottle jack to press flare them...

thanks for any suggestions :D

Seth,
Would fuel or brake line work as well?
Most of the flaring tools I've seen for this use multi-part dies. You could probably flare one end off knife but your handle material would need to be hard enough (and tubing soft enough) to act as part of the die to flare the other end. That's my take on it anyways; I'd be interested in seeing how it's accomplished.
Regards,
Greg

Seth, you could also try aluminum tubing... i made something similar with aluminum stand offs, bought at the local home depot, you epoxy every thing up as ususal, and drill out the flare with a chamfering bit...you get the look, but with out all the extra trouble...hope this helps :)

thanks for the link :D

i mainly want to do this incase the knife gets used in -40 weather and the epoxy fails. it probably wont ever happen, but its still good insurance...
