I am looking to purchase a good quality woodhandled firsteel. I would like it to be a large one. Both large dia and at least 4" long. I also want it to have a handle large enough to grasp. Not like the sweedish ones but mor elike the esee ones. If a member has one for sale that would be great. I know goinggear.com sold them at one point but I can not find them on the website anymore.

Thanks Adam

Thats probaly going to be my next course of action. How do you get them to stay in the wood? Epoxy?

Slow set epoxy. buy the blank of the wood of your choice at a Woodcraft or Rockler store, saw out the general size and shape with your SAK saw, and carve it to shape. Auger out a lanyard hole with your SAK awl, hit it with some 220 grit sandpaper, glue it up and finish with some linseed oil.

Anyone know of an nonlinear store that sells wood and maybe the brass inlets for the laynard holes.
