Where to buy???

I live in an area where unfortunately there are no real knife shops, least not those that carry anything that is really tactical. I use a knife as a tool, an offensive & defensive weapon, and need one that is heavy duty and functional, and with that in mind I am looking for my first Emerson, off of the internet. I am confused by some of the wide price ranges (especially on eBay) for exactly the same models, as well as some terms. I need to buy from an authorized Emerson dealer, so that I am the original buyer and get factory warranty, plus of course a reputable seller. Also, just what is a 'prestige' dealer?

Sorry for my very basic questions, and I appreciate your time and valid inputs. Who have you had a good purchase experience with, and would recommend as an Emerson source.

Several of my Emersons have come from New Graham. They're a supporting dealer member of BF, they have a good rep here, and they work with you to answer your questions and help you get what you want.
 
Another vote for MattD Tactical, I ordered a Jungle Commander and a regular Commander from him yesterday... $20 in shipping and I have both of them in less than 24 hours from placing my order, you can't beat that.
