I'm looking to buy my first sebenza, I want a large 21 with the insingo tip. But I don't want to wait 4 months, does it really take CRK that long? Blade HQ & knife center is out of them. Do you guys have any recommendations?

Exchange, just watch and wait... or there may be one up now just down the page or page two

There are plenty of websites that sell them or you can even get them here from exchange (most likely used but less than new for sure).

Thanks guys I went with Knives ship free. I found a store in Kingsport TN that has them, wanted to buy online pickup at the store, but they wanted to charge me 9% sales tax when I picked it up, and I live in NC..

I believe to do otherwise would have been illegal since the sale was completed in TN. If you don't want to do sales tax, try paying in cash ;)

I know you have one on order, but for future reference: as already said the Exchange is a good place to start, and a site sponsor as in Knives Ship Free is good.

Here is CRK's dealer list:

There is some risk buying used sebenzas. Per threads on this forum, there's a lot of people who don't take care of their sebenzas. They polish or thin the washers, use the wrong lube, "adjust the action" by bending the lock bar, open and close it 100s of times but never cut anything so it's still "NIB." Plus there's the whole counterfeit issue. Sure you can always send it in, but that's an additional $40 and min. 2 month wait.

Per BladeForums supporters, I like GPKnives, KnifeCenter and New Graham. I wanted one with a graphic, so I waited until I crossed country on I-70 and bought my first at GPKnives. Like losing your virginity, your first Sebenza should be special :)

There is risk, but if you "buy the seller" review feedback and do just a little research, even lurk for a week or two there are great deals to be made. I've purchased over half my CRKs used and saved a whole bunch of money. And there have been many I've purchased and since sold and have never really lost much if any money doing so.
