Where to find a Persian?

As the title states I can not seem to locate a Persian through any retailer. Do I have to look at private party sales only or are they still available? Thanks for the input. I want to send it off to STR and then do a regrind, ala Haze's Persian.
 
Thanks to Black-Jacket I have one coming, and then off to Krein and hopefully sometime in the near future to STR.
 
I'm always glad to see people being dragged down to my level :D:thumbup:

I'm going to try and get my HD-Persian finished up this week, I'll post some pics up when it's done.

I'm thinking satin Ti on OD green G-10 is the way forward for this one.

Well, I would suspect you could find one in Iran. If you can't get over there, you will probably find one in any major city. Look for black BMW's and Benz's.

Are the Persians that hard to find these days?

I'm wondering if I should just snatch one up.

IMO all the time is a good time to pick one up but then I like them more than most I think. :p

They have never been a really popular knife so I think they were always made in fewer numbers than the likes of the 7s or commanders etc.

There seems to be a bit of a fad for them just now but I'm not sure where that came from ? It may have something to do with them being discontinued (and then not) or just that they have found their time.

Just pick one up and if you don't like it you can always sell it to me. :D

I pulled the trigger! That's my second Emerson in a week. :D

Now to decide if I give one to my father for his birthday (he went gaga for my Combat Karambit when he saw it; had never handled an Emerson), or do I keep the CQC-7A & Persian and buy a third for him?

I think once you get that Persian in your hands you will find it hard to let go.

Also, did I mention that I'm your father too, and it's my birthday as well.;)..... :p:thumbup:

I actually 'LOL'd' while reading that. :thumbup:

And your PM inbox will be my first destination if for some reason I don't like the Persian. Although, I can't imagine that being the case considering how cool it is. But you know that, apparently!
 
I hate to be the bearer of bad news but, I corresponded with STR via email and he informed me that he is unfortunately not performing frame lock conversions for Persians at this time.

Due to an unforeseen loss of resources and a broken wrist, he has had to partially shut down for the time being. He informed me that this is probably not permanent but just a change of pace while he sorts things out on his end.
