Hey, I'm in the Candian Forces and I'm looking for Gerber Applegate-Fairbairn Covert. I don't have a credit card and am not interested in purchasing anything online. Do any of you know of a knife store in Toronto that sells them because this knife is perfect for what I need. heres the site with a picture:

Thanks to everyone.

Welcome to BF.

Are you dead-set against shopping on-line? If you don't have a credit card, you can still shop on line and find a much better price than any brick & mortar store. Most of 'em will accept money orders or personal checks.

thanks for the welcome.
I don't have a checking account so checks are kinda out of the question and I dont really care about the price i just want this knife. I would order off the net but someone of my age (17) with no checkbook or credit card will have a hard time doing so.

OK - sorry I can't help you with Toronto knife shops though.

(PS at the risk of beating a dead horse - don't worry about checking accounts and the like, use postal money orders.)

Lebaron sells this knife. They have locations in Markham (just north of Steeles on Woodbine) and Mississauga. Prices are reasonable too.

For exact addresses check out www.lebaron.ca

do they have walmarts in canada?? if so, i have seen them at walmart for like $40 or so.........

Yeah we do have Walmarts.. but they usually don't offer much choice in terms of knives compared to their US counterparts.

Is that knife sharpened on both edges?
I've been looking for some double edged folders.

As for buying on the net, can't you set up PayPal to take money out of a regular bank account?

yea the knife has a dubble edge and a supposed amazing locking system. I could buy it off the net but there are no people in Canada selling online and i dont wanna go though hell with customs about it. I'm gonna go check lebaron sometime in the next couple weeks, and if i cant find anything im going to New York this december so i might be able to pick it up over there, but again i dont really wanna have to explain to a 7 foot border guard ready to give me a colonoscopy why im trying to bring a knife into Canada. not my cup of tea
