I recently lost my Spyderco Delica. Not that expensive knife, but I am very upset...
Now I want to substitute it with another knife. I like Victorinox Trekker with one-hand opening, but it lacks clipit. Do you know how I can install clipit on this knife and where I can find a clipit? Also, do you think it will be comfortable to carry it clipped to the pocket? I am not sure it if be very visible...
Are there knives of Victorinox quality that have clipit and one-hand opening for the price of Delica or less? Blade length near 3 inches is the best. I am left-handed, so I cannot use Leatherman Wave, find it uncomfortable. Other tools not important.
Regards,

You will never be confortable with a Trekker in your pocket as you was with the Delica.

The Delica and the Endura clip it are the most confortable knives that I ever had, you forgot that is in your pocket for all day, I dont think that a Trekker will be that lightweight.

My recomendation geta another Delica specially if it's the one with the plastic handle.

Omega A, I've thought about putting a clip on my OHT as well. I've seen pictures on Bladeforums over the years of folks who have put clips on the larger locking SAKS.

I know that Brigade Quartermasters sells clips. Seems like I've also seen them on Emerson Knives' website as well (I think that they make clips for Benchmade).

My guess is that if you get one of these clips, you can simply epoxy it to the scales. If you decide to drill some holes to screw it in, I'd still epoxy it.

Being a left hander, the OHT is perfect for you, since it's about the only left hand linerlock out there.

I did exactly this myself; made a clip from a coathanger. Heated with blowtorch, smoothed with sandpaper. Took maybe an hour beginning to end. Used a file and hot paperclip to put round holes in the top of the scale, so it's more a deep-pocket-carry clip. Then a drop of superglue on the pin and one drop on each end of the clip, pop it back together and clamp. Came out great. Coathanger's not the ideal material- not as springy as I'd like, but it's what was available. All I really wanted anyway was for the knife to stand up in my back pocket. Sorry for the low-quality picture:

I put a clip on my OHT. I not sure that I trust it though. I was carrying it in the side leg pocket of my Carharts, and it fell out while I was sitting--twice. I now carry it in a front pocket and, so far, it's been fine. It's a heavy knife and it needs a strong clip to keep it secure. By the way, you can find the OHT at Target for about $25! Even so, it would still hurt to lose it because of all the trouble involved with installing the clip.
