I was wondering if anyone could suggest where to find flat bottom counter sink step bits. I need to go from 3/32-5/32 for custom handles scales. I made my own, but was wondering if there is a better way or somewhere that would make these.
When I don't have the correct size step bit.
I drill a very small pilot hole first, then I drill my counter bore using a flat tipped bit like a brad point bit. Then I drill my through hole.
This is not added work for me.
Because I always pre-drill with a pilot first.
I'm not exactly positive about what you're asking as your terminology isn't correct, but I think you're looking for a counterbore. Google should turn them up for sale by the millions.
