Thats what I'm looking for. Vertical, leather belt sheath. Smallest possible external dimensions, with "drop in" open top design.

I've seen those ones on ebay that are stitched on one side and sort of pointy at the bottom. That is more or less what I'm after, but would prefer stitching around all three sides (other than the open top of course) and flat on the bottom, if that makes sense. And just barely bigger than the knife itself.

What I'm looking for is more or less like this:

Thanks Darryl, I zapped him an email. That looks like what I'm after. I just find the Buck leather sheath to be a little bulky.

...There are a number of terrific leather artisans in the forums and any one of 'em can make you a sheath to be proud of, no question about it. Gary's work just "touches" me in a way that I can't explain...We have a lot of great talent here in the BladeForums...

Untill you get your custom sheath just trim off the top of the one you have...Just dont do it to a rare 532 sheath..If you soak it in water it might shrink just a little for a more secure fit.
