I carry a leatherman kick, and like having the pliers and screwdrivers handy. However, as I always carry a dedicated knife or two, I've never used the blade. I think I saw that someone around here had replaced the knife blade with a file from some other leatherman. Is there someplace that I could buy a file or some other bit without buying a tool and busting it down? If not, maybe I'll just switch it for that fork in my Flair...

Salvaging parts from another tool is the only way unless you find someone else who salvaged parts from a multi-tool and has a leftover file . I have some extra parts for multi-tools but not a file that would fit the Kick--sorry. You might take a look at the knifeless Fuse: http://www.leatherman.com/products/tools/Knifeless-Fuse/default.asp. It's a little bigger than the Kick but it has a few more tools and the tools lock.
