Where to Find Specs on Case Knives?

I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction here. Is there a handy, easy-to-use website that provides the specs on Case pocket knives---blade lengths, weight, etc.?

I've looked around the manufacturer's website a bit, and didn't see what I was looking for there.

Thanks for any help.

Andrew

You can go to Shepherd Hills Cutlery website. There is a section that lists all current Case patterns, and when you click on a pattern, you can just pull up one of the knives, and it will give specs. Hopefully that helps

Thanks. That is a helpful site, but when I pull up a pattern, all I'm seeing is length closed. I'm hoping to get length of blade (ideally, cutting edge and overall) and weight, as well. Am I missing something?

Thanks,

Andrew

Not enough Traditional manufacturesr give info on weights. It's important when considering pocket-carry.

Case is actually doing a bit more when it specs. I just did a quick look at other manufacturers and Queen, GEC and Canal Street Cutlery only give length closed, not the weight.

The manufacturer website does give the weight as well as the length closed. Length closed is standard for traditional folding knives.

For example, the carbon fiber sodbuster is

http://www.wrcase.com/knives/view_all/browse.php?Family='Carbon%20Fiber'&View='1'

Thanks for that, supratenorial. I just missed seeing it.

I do recall that there is a dealer which lists more specs on its knives: OAL, blade length (I'm guessing total length, not just cutting edge?), closed length, and weight. However, I see there are some discrepancies---e.g., on the SB Gents, the navy blue shows OAL at 5.30" and blade at 2.37", closed length at 3.13", and wt. at 1.80 oz. The same knife in pocket worn red bone has figures of 5.50", 2.30", 3.12", and 1.5 oz.!

I would name the dealer, but isn't there is a BF rule against that?

Andrew

I think that most of the dealers probably just cut and past from the manufacturer info but I do know one or two that add some of their own measurements... especially when it's of particular interest for a new pattern. I think that dealer discussion isn't allowed according to the forum guidelines... I don't envy the jobs of the mods but it probably helps to keep the spam down... Dealer discussion is allowed in the Feedback part of Exchange.
