I'm on my second Flash II knife (1st one clip broke and I subsequently lost it when I wasn't carrying it around all the time attached to me)....anyways the reversible pocket bayonet patent pending fancy clip broke on this one too and I was wondering how to get a replacement as multiple web searches and SOG's site state nothing about replacement clips other than it is not a warranty item.

my clip is wiggling around side to side. would this develop into a problem of the clip falling off? or does it mean the screw needs tightening?

Go for the aluminum handle. I had a flash 1 where the zytel completely broke out. But sog warranty dept. will make it right. You'l probably have 2 or 3 clips in no time. 1-888-405-6433 ext. 229

it sound like the handle might need to be replaced. From what you described it sounds like the material around the clip may have been damaged and will no longer securely hold the clip in place. If you want send the knife to our warranty department and they will have a look at it. Information on returning the knife can be found on our warranty page listed above.

why would the material around the clip be wearing out? i haven't even had the knife for a year.

It is really hard to diagnose any problems with out actually seeing the knife. I can guess all day long what might be wrong with the knife but until we actually have the knife I can not give you a reliable answer.
You will still be covered under warranty since you bought it new. So send it in and be sure to follow the information on our warranty page.
