I was looking on their site and didnt find any knives to buy? Can someone tell me where to look for some... thanks.

That is an ice pick, not a knife, there is no edge, only a point and not a sharpened one.

It is strong however ;)

:D:D

Ok, now I am made a fool of..... Sorry. haha. What is the purpose for an ice pick if its not sharp, just to break up ice? I believe they are illegal anways... But what for? If they arent sharp...

I sharpened mine to a needle point using sandpaper and a mousepad.

they are not illegal, Unless you live in some kind of fascist hellhole.;)

I use my ice picks for stuff I don't want to dull my knife on, for chipping ice, and for whatever else I can think of. Basically just a cool little gadget to have.

Just because it is not sharp doesn't mean it doesn't have a point. It can be used for a number of things other than just as an icepick, carry it in your vehicle or toolbox to use for prying, poking or prodding.

I would like to get one... Rat, do you have this exact model?

I would like to get another Swamp Rat knife because I hear they are the toughest out there... I really like the price on this icepick and I have always wanted to have one... Like Rat says, a cool gadget to have.

Rat, when you say its NOT sharp, how dull are you talking? I am highly interested in getting one of these and might have to place one on order...

Anyone know the origin of the ice pick? I know this may seem crazy but I was talking to a friend tonite and I asked him if he knew where the ice pick was originated and he looked at me funny.. I know its been around for years I would say but just a thought.

Thanks for the help Rat Finkenstein. (great avatar by the way);)

Rat are the nuclear ones better than the swamp rats? in your opinion?

No question about it, they have a better handle/more comfortable/easier to wrap, (I got one with a factory wrap) are made of INFI, and do not have the thin spot on the handle like the RIP does.
But based on my own abusive testing, I can say that the RIP is extremely tough.
(It is also far cheaper than the Busse NIP)

-Mine did not have a point when it arrived, it tapered to a flat spot of a couple mm wide. I used a mouse pad and sandpaper to sharpen it to a needle sharp convex tip.

-Icepicks were used extensively on blocks of ice used in iceboxes prior to the advent of refrigeration. I do not know when they were invented.

Glad I could help out, thanks for the compliment.
