Hi,

I would like to ask around if any of you guys here know where can I get myself a busse out of the US?

I'm living in Singapore, South East Asia.

I shipped a package to Singapore yesterday.
If i ever am selling something... shipping to you is no problem. If someone else is selling but wont ship to you, and you want it, you can drop me a line, maybe have it shipped to me and i will reship to you?

You get it from the US Post Office, DHL, or FedEx. Maybe UPS, not sure. :D

Seriously though, there is no problem shipping Busse knives to Singapore, it's been done many times. I've found that there isn't a significant increase in USPS shipping either, maybe $5 extra for Global Express, which can take up to 10 days but is fairly expedient for the price. FedEx next day can be pretty expensive though... I also put "Camping equipment" or "gardening tool" on the customs form, just for security.
Hope that helps!;)

You wouldnt happen to have any extra gardening tools or camping equipment laying around do you?:D

No use putting any "gardening tool" or anything like that.. everything gets scanned and anything more than 4 in blade gets picked up by customs and then they want you to get down there, open it up for them to inspect... fill in a form and then you can take it away..:D

acwire 2125.. email me for more info...

I think the O/P was looking for a source outside the U.S., not a means of getting the knife out of the U.S.

It's different for every country. I've shipped things to no less than a dozen countries, and what you're describing hasn't happened in any of them. I mailed something to Japan and the guy said they would have done that if I hadn't marked the customs form as a "display knife" (it was a Khukuri). But then mailing stuff to Australia it doesn't even matter how you mark it, they float right through customs the day it arrives.

Another thing I always do for buyers is check off "gift" on the form so the buyer doesn't have any additional fees. Always ask your seller to do this if you're not sure about custom fees.

Folks who are willing to ship worldwide usually say so in there for sale threads, but it never hurts to ask. The first time I did was because someone asked me too, but I hadn't thought to offer it in the thread. Now I always do, but just ask if it doesn't say they won't. You never know.

anyone got experience or info for buying in or shopping to Australia

I've shipped to a fellow forumite in Perth Australia 3 times. He's paid me to ship Global Express, and the fastest one got there in 4 days.

Express to Aus. is about $30 give or take, compared to Priority which is about $20 and takes about 10 days in reality (not app. 5-7 like they claim).

What specifically were you wondering about? The Busse Co. Store will ship there if they have what you're looking for. What "info" were you looking for?

Im a bit hesitant about buying from os as our costoms are pretty tight, u inadvertantly gave me the info in that, they get in. Also some sellers are heaitant to sell to o/s for the same reasons if i find people selling the knives i want can i email you for the specifics re shipping and payments or any other questions that come up? Or if they flatly refuse to sell to o/s can i buy through you?
Cheers mate, great help

I often keep an eye on the for sale setion but 9 times out of 10 when something that I'm interested comes up, the seller won't ship outside the US. I'd love to get my first Busse but I can't see it happening until something I like either appears in the company store or becomes the current model.
