Hi there

I'm looking for diffrent types of kydex in camo colors! Knifekits.com have some but do any of you know other places to get it?

I would like to know too. I'd also like to know where to find olive drab Kydex. I posted this question twice in the past and no one ever answered me.

You can get Concealex in at least a couple camo patterns and in olive drab color at www.blade-tech.com . It is just the same as kydex to work with.

The first time I called Blade-Tech to order some Tek-Loks they said they didn't sell Concealex anymore. The lady may have been blowing smoke, but that's what she said.

Just a thought....I always thought it would be a cool experiment to overlay Kydex with some old camo material, much like you would with an exotic leather...I bet it would look cool, keep noise down, and stay stuck the Kydex with Barge contact cement

Hey Guys....

That's about the only place to find it....

Camo kydex/concealex is very expensive to buy....

I can get advantage concealex,, but need to buy about 20 sheets at $200.00 each for a 4'X8'

If I could get enough people together to buy 20 sheets I would consider it. I'd take 5 sheets myself. That's 15 sheets we would have to account for...

I was not very happy with the camo stuff that is avaible so decides to try something a little different. I found that concelex works the best. I use a solvent cement (#2007 availble from TAP Plastics) it is a solvent not a glue. It will melt concealex several thous. deep, thus it becomes its own adhesive. I no longer use any rivits or fastners of any kind, it bonds to itself extremly well as well as anything it come in contact with while hardening. Just select camo pattern matterial you like, coat the concealex with solvent, keep it wet untill it has a soft sticky layer, then press your cloth in place. It take a liitle practice butt it is very easy to work with. Super glue works better with kydex. I inclosed a photo of my the last one I made.

FWIW...I have tried the overlay idea with camo stuff and kydex...It works ok but getting it to stick all the way around can be a pain...

And yes I hand stitched the whole thing!!! :)
