I have a spyderco delica that I would love to put some burnt orange frn scales on, also a pm2 in need of new blue bento box scales, is there anyway I could buy these scales from Spyderco? Does anyone know of any place that sells these kind of factory scales?

If you search Google you will find lots of different scales for the PM2. The delica is a different story, especially if it's pinned construction which I think most are. That would need to go to a person/company that specializes in that type of work.

It can be done, it's just more involved and requires the knife to be sent out and modified. Also I don't know if you can salvage frn scales when the are removed, so you would probably be better off buying a hap-40 delica with the scales intact and just use that one.

If it needs to be bento box blue, a WTB add here on the forums would probably be your best bet. I think you need a paid membership though.

Nah, old Delicas may have been pinned, but the Delica 4s are all screwed together construction. Fairly easy to disassemble and scale swap. Not the best photo, but the top two knives are both Delica 4s with custom scales. No damage was done to the FRN scales in the process. :)

Paid membership is required to sell here on the exchange, but not to buy.

For some reason I thought the delica was pinned like my caly3 is. And yes, you are correct about the WTB ad too. I know nothing haha.

No criticism intended. :D

The Calys are pinned but are made by a different manufacturer in Japan. The Delica (and Ladybug, Manbug, Endura, Stretch and others) is made by G. Sakai. The Caly/Calypso line (and others) is made by Moki. You can tell by the tang stamp. If it says Seki City, it's G. Sakai. If it just says Japan, it's Moki.

I think I got that the right way around.

I waited and found the gray KW scales for my Manix in the exchange. Other than clips I don’t think you can buy any parts from Spyderco.

Wow, I didn't know the caly's are made by different manufacturers than the delicas! Also, I guess from reading the replies, the best way to find ANY kind of scales (frn, g10,etc.) would be to look on this site.

Would you happen to still have those scales for the top delica (that seems to look like it may be hap40)?
