Where to get good handles without sacrificing and arm and a leg?

I live in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Surprisingly, there just aren't many sources for new handles. I was able to get a Wetterlings at a specialty knife shop, but for $45! I am looking for a good source of decent handles. Any ideas?

I have a friend who hangs out with the "Axe Mob" on another Bushcraft forum who lives in Canada. He regularly orders handle from House Handle.
They ship to Canada.

I would presume that there are Home Hardware stores in your area. Sometime over the past year or two the chain (certainly in Ontario) has started stocking decent hickory handles again. The Garant 'slabs' that they carried for 20+ years were an embarrassment. You might have to corner the manager and get him to bring in few dozen (ie this year's entire stock) but the one I bought the day before Christmas this year is a beauty, and the other two (of that same type) that were in the bin weren't bad either. Price was in around $12 (I think) Bar code sticker on the 28" curved handle version (for a 2 to 2 1/2 lb head) is 7 75958 75200 3 and the Home Hardware product number is BM 7631 752. Insist on hafts from this particular manufacturer because they also carry some other types of hafts that are of lesser quality, are varnished and include a wood and a metal wedge.
If you really run into problems with getting hold of something decent and if all else fails drop me a line; there are about a dozen such stores in Ottawa and I do have a fair idea of what to look for. Pictured is a Home Hardware haft that I picked up last year.
