I know of Blade-tech, but are there other options? Preferably ready-made, so I don't have to send the knife for fitting?
:)

Contact PiterM. He is a member here on the BFC and frequents this forum regularly. Actually, if you scroll down a bit you may find one of the threads he started. He does some fine Kydex work and has a MKVI in his possesion.

Found the thread. :)

PiterM is a great guy to deal with. He made me one for my Mountaineer II and I think he is working on one for my Project I. Great Kydex work.

Thanks folks! I'll PM PiterM.

That is a gorgeous sheath he made. Looks like it would fit the bill perfectly. Wonder how long it takes to get it here from Poland?

He is pretty quick. I ordered mine and he brought it to the Atlanta Blade Show a couple weeks later. Seemed like a great guy when I met him.

I just emailed him, because I can't get the PM feature to work.

Hope he gets it.

For those who have one of his sheaths--does it have a teclock?

Mine came with a tek loc and a removable belt loop. I wanted the belt loop to lower the knife as another carry option. He will do about anything you want.

Wow, thanks for those links to the beautiful pics of your sheaths, Piter!
I look forward to your email.

As fine as your beltloops look, I think the TechLok is the most practical for me...their adjustability to diffent belt widths has always been a bonus.

May I ask, how 'hard' is the kydex on the finish of your one piece CRKs and Green Berets? I have some kydex that really wears the finish on certain knives, and some that don't even dull the finish on others. I have one pistol that has been GunKoted, and it has been relatively free of marring even after at least 5000 draws from a kydex (Bladetech) holster.

All my knives that have a black finish end up showing scuff marks after carrying in kydex. Every maker says theirs wont but the scuffs still happen. If you are worried about that then kydex may not be the answer. I don't worry about it with a user knife because the kydex holds secure and dries out fast, something leather can't do. I carry my CRK Mountaineer II camping and canoeing so security and quick drying means alot to me. I never worry about my knife coming out of the sheath that Piter made for me.

Not worried at all about scuffs. I personally like to use most of my knives, and the Mk VI will be getting a full workout in a couple weeks.
