Does anyone know of a site or maker (cusotm or otherwise) for micarta scales for a Becker Necker? My BK-11 would be so much the better for it- I'm not a fan of the skeletonized handle after using.

(on a side note, my Mantis MF-1 could use scales too...don't like that handle either.)

Are you willing to cut the scales to shape yourself? knifekits.com sells knife kits and knife making supplies including handle materials. If you put some grips on your BK11 make sure to posts some pics.

I bought the 1/8" canvas micarta scales for $3, plus three 3/16" connectors and screws for another $4. You'll need a belt sander,
but if you don't have one then use 120 grit sandpaper to remove lots of material quickly and 320 grit for the finishing touches.
A drill is also required. I got the materials from www.USAknifemaker.com. Great prices, low shipping rates.
Oh yeah, you're gonna have to make a new sheath. The one you see in the pics was my first attempt at shaping kydex; not too
pretty, but it holds the knife really tight!
