Where to get rubber disks for your disk sander.

I have had quite a few people inquire about the disks I use for flat grinding. I have decided to let you all in on where I got the rubber disks from.

I called them and told them what I needed and they shipped it to me C.O.D.

I ordered an aluminum disk from Koval Knives
and glued the rubber disk to it using PLIOBOND adhesive.

I told them what I was going to use it for. I even mentioned the hardness (durometer) of my contact wheels. The man I talked with recommended a slighly softer rubber. Other than that, they just needed the diameter and thickness of the disk. They even suggested that I use PLIOBOND adhesive to attavh the disk to the aluminum plate.
