For a CAK 16inch? Got a few HI's in a trade and I'm very excited about finally getting ahold of some khukris after reading a lot about them. Read all the safety tips, links, too. Just need a sheath but can't seem to find a link for it.

I recommend Ilbruche!

I have the time and tools to do Khukri sheaths, but not the money to buy the leather, stains, dies and finishes. LOL!! So I recommend the Sarki Shop or ilbruche.

If you need something really nice, go with a custom sheath like recommended above. If you have to go dirt cheap, I got a few of these from Smokey Mountain Knife works, and for $4.99, they're great. http://www.eknifeworks.com/webapp/e...archText=camillus sheath&Mode=Text&SKU=CMSH04

I couldn't resist getting a few of those too, and I was happy to see that for $4.99 they are real leather, not from a vinyl cow. There are only a couple sizes to chose from but a great place to put your blade while you wait for that custom sheath.

One problem, now that I have the sheaths I have to find some DOTDs to put in it...

Steve, just awesome! I was looking for something like this. Cheap, functional, slimmer than the sheaths that come with the knives. Space and weight are always two key considerations when putting together a good emergency kit. Truly appreciate the heads up.

I just got a sheath from the sarki shop. It took a few weeks, but the sheath is great, and the price was good. Not $4.95, but I'd rather support a craftsman any time I can. That's the point of going with HI for me, anyway. Since I'm left-handed (khuks come with right-handed sheaths), the sarki's going to get more of my business in the future.

Just had an idea for you; If you want to try making a sheath your self check out the new sheathing forum. There's a bunch of nice guys just waiting to help us newbies out.
