Here's the knife, I'm borrowing Flashpoint's awesome photo:

I want to get the handle, the holes, and the lines all anodized a different color--it has to be the jewel-type anodizing that's really shiny... kind of like what's on CRK Sebenzas/Snody Crisis card type stuff.

How much would a job like this typically cost? Where's the best place to go? How durable is this form of anodization? I was thinking a sapphire blue, emerald green, and golden orange type colors.

Thanks guys!

It wears off fast since it is only the top layer that gets the coat. If its a user, I probably wouldnt bother. Can't help you on who does it though. GL

Well while were in discussion on the topic... Does anyone know if one could bead blast the anodize off so that it would go from a full anodize back to just a normal looking bead blast?

That certainly works. Even a polishing will remove the anodized colors. But for anodized beadblasted finishes, the lower "pits/crevices" of the beadblast make it hard to remove the color with just polish. A reblast is certainly your best option for that.

OP to my knowledge, orange is not on spectrum that can be achieved for ti anodizing.
Also, it's funny that you link that particular knife b/c it's EXACTLY the one I'm currently working on.

At the moment, it's still a BIG WORK IN PROGRESS though.

Well, the Benchmade Skirmish had those holes all anodized something shiny-like and I didn't really hear of those wearing off... CRK's graphic sebenzas aren't too bad at wearing off--I guess I could always get it re-anodized.

If anyone has any suggestions for people who could do this... please post, thanks!
