Hey Hogs...

Junior hog here. I've managed to collect a Magnum Bear Cub, SAR3, Tweener Meaner Street, Pork Shank, and a TGLB. I have a HCLE4 from Swamp Rat as well. I'm really satisfied with Busse's smaller lineup. I carry and use them all the time - and am more than willing to experiment down that direction because my taste is for smaller and small medium EDCable fixed blades.

I've also gotten a taste of what bigger feels like with the TGLB and I want more. Basically I just have the addiction now and I'm looking for some advice / wanton wallet destruction / pictures / suggestions.

If I go towards the very large line up I am considering a Ruck, AK47, or Gladius. Smaller and mid sized, maybe some of the res-c handles on the basics? I'm not sure. Guide me well! You pretty much cannot go wrong so if you've been looking for a chance to show off your collection or sell me on your opinion this is a good chance.

Thanks..

I love the Basics! They are what started me with Busse almost 13 years ago. That said, if you are thinking about Res-C handles, I suggest trying some of Dan's Scrap Yard offerings first, especially the SYKCO 711. If you like that Pork Shank, you might also check out a War Dog (an INFI piece from the Yard) on the exchange. If you want to stick with Busse for the Res-C, I think the Basic 10 and anorexic Basic 4 make a nice pair.

Of course, you can't go wrong with most anything and the selection is endless. If you get something you don't like, just put it up on the exchange.

Oh, and you are doomed! But you probably already knew that. :-)

How did I miss the War Dog... that thing is pretty great. I knew this would yield results, and it only took one reply to tantalize me.

SAR-6, Basic 6 and NMSFNO are great gateway drugs into the bigger knives. Once you're there the try the Basic 10, Basic 11 or any of the Mistresses.

I would get a b10 or an R9 or a 911. Can not go wrong with any of those from what I here. Having owned a B10 I can say you wont be disapointed. I also had a 711 and while it is a great knife, the 911 is calling me.

I am in the same boat. Started with a BAe years ago. Was fine until the past year or so, grabbed a Skelly warden, then a BOSS street. I kept telling myself I didn't need anything bigger. Then I decided I had to have a NMSFNO. Well, that has change my attitude. Now I think the smaller knives are nice, but I think BUSSE's forte is the larger blades. Next is a BM or Basic 11.

The smaller knives are great, but where Busse and INFI really excel are in the larger knives. If you REALLY want to see what INFI is all about, you have to go big. My suggestion is to start with a Battle Mistress and go from there. I suspect a variety of FSH would do it too, but cannot speak to that as I have never handled one.

I think a mistress is in my future. My next is a Basic 4 LE - some moderately cheaper infi off the secondary market, but after that I'm going to start banking for a big one! Perry also I think you made a nice choice in the Skelly Warden, that is a sweet knife. I've always had a special place in my heart for skeletonized knives. I really enjoy the look of cord wrapping, especially certain braided wraps. They work really well for me ergonomically too.
