Hey guys, I'm looking for a place who can redo the phosphate finish for me on my Machax or whether I should have a guy I know do hard chrome? I would rather have the phosphate in tradition of resoration. Any help would be appreciated.

Hey Jarod, you could send it to me! Not that I could re-finish it, I'd just keep it, just a suggestion. Have you tried posting in the services wanted section here at BF? I like the phosphate or like Wider said, as is. Your blade, your choice.;)

get your own :)

Jarod, i'd drop a note to Ethan. he knows people :>

i've long been pondering doing a TiNi finish on something or other.

Just do a patina on it. Looks goo the way it is though. I would not recommend chroming it. Unless you plan to not use it. Chrome will flake off after use.

the hard chrome is different. it's hard! doesn't ever seem to wear out.

Love to, just as soon as some people with nothing better to do quit buying them all up!:D

Have you considered gun bluing?

well, Jarod can't be fighting bad guys all the time

Thanks for your input guys! Bladite, I sent an email to Ethan a couple weeks ago, but he has been pretty busy, so, still waiting on that. I have yet to see it in person, so , I may actually like the wear, however, I figured after I shape the spin back up, there are going to be marks I want to get rid of. I would strip it the rest of the way and blue it, but , Bladite infromed me that the phosphate finish would put up one hell of a fight, and I thought it might be easier to send it to a professional and have them do another chemical coating. It seems hard coating is in my top three choices after leaving it and finding someone to re-do the phosphate.

Murph... nice try, you get the patch and that is all! Lol. No soup for you!

Thanks again for your input. Hopefully this thread will catch the eye of Uncle E.
