Where to start from?

Hello guys

I am a passionate knives collector who recently started collecting vintage. At this moment I buy lots from eBay and refurbish them, you know, cleaning, taking out rust, polishing and sharpening. Buy I would like also to start repairing, repinning, using parts to restore knives, etc.
Could you help me in:
-basic tools I will need
-where to get them, as well as pins, etc
-a comprehensive reading, be online or a book to get the basic skills.

Thanks, it's a great deal of info, but I am not into knifemaking, but, more precisely, how to disassemble and reassemble a pocket knife. Old Timer styke, pinned, on example. Toolset, materials, etc. I have seen use some punches, hammers, and kind of a metal block with holes drilled on it.
