Hi there, was just wondering if anyone knew where i could find a self-bow making workshop in the western area (specifically, Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, Colorado, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, Utah...) All help would be appreciated! Ive been really interested in making a bow for a while and since my family is on a road trip all over these states I was hoping i could find a workshop for this topic! If you could provide a website or email address, dates-times, etc.. i would REALLY REALLY appreciate it!

thanks,
D

Another thread off to Gadgets & Gear.

Please read this.

There are forums about archery and bowmaking on the net; a moment at your favorite search engine will turn them up. You might get an answer here, too, of course -- we have members who are into it.

thats what i'm hoping for...

so far my searches have brought up nothing, thats why i turned to my good ole buddies at the blade forums...

In the past there have been workshops like what you are looking for at the Traditional Bowhunters Expo every spring in Ontario Oregon. Look for a copy of Traditional Bowhunter Magazine or go to their site at www.tradbow.com they may be able to point you in the right direction. I had to look up the title, but there is a magazine Primitive Archer www.primitivearcher.com that is directed more towards the flint knaper and selfbow folks. They had a selfbow workshop listed this past weekend in Washington. One of those sources should be able to get you lined up with a workshop pretty quick.

Lost In Shuffle-

Ask a moderator to rename your thread to something searchable instead of just the word "Where?" in the title. You won't get many responses because it completely lacks description for anyone quickly scanning the list.

My suggestion would be something like, "Bow & Archery assistance needed" or something like that.
