When I saw him Saturday he was grey, gaunt, and very tired. He said that he's lost some weight again and that he might be checking into the hospital to put some more weight back on.

He didn't seem worse than the last time I saw him, and related a story of going to an oncologist to see if Tomography could be used on the tumor. The oncologist asked Bill "What's Tomography?". Off to find another oncologist.

He plans on staying around, but is getting the medical shuffle. Think he's reached the point he can handle it indefinitely if it doesn't get worse.

Yangdu looked and sounded and acted well. Energetic and coping well on the surface while I was there.

That's what I know. Yangdu will probably process orders as usuall but may occassionally have a small delay.

Bill may be in St. Mary's. If he is confident there more power to him. Me, my first thought on seeing the WTC go on 9/11 was " Why couldn't that have been St. Mary's?". I'll get back with their phone, email, etc. so you can send messages. If he's in there it'll be under the name James William Martino.

I hope Bill's well. I had an uneasy feeling this morning about 6:00 am thinking about him.

Thanks for the info , Rusty.

I hope, Uncle Bill will get better soon and we can read his kind and wise posts here.

Best wishes for Uncle Bill and Yangdu!

Methinks Bill is just probably down again and I hope it passes soon.
I know how I was when I was at my worst, I didn't want to do anything nor be bothered by anybody.:grumpy: I'm reasonably sure that Bill is the same way and of course Bill is in a helluva lot worse shape than I ever was although when you reach a certain stage of illness it doesn't matter who or which is in the worse shape you're all in it together.
It would/will be wondeful when Bill gets some treatment that works that will make him feel better.
It gets real old real quick when you feel like hell all of the time!:grumpy: :(

We were getting worried- thanks Ruisty.

It used to be between Yvsa, Bill, and Walosi, you never knew on which old Coot a major part would fall off or fail first.

Walosi is listed as a moderator on the S&W forum.

I found it smartass. I did not believe for a second S&W forum would come up with anything on search but it did. Walosi is listed.

But I'm the guy who just discovered the 'renew' button on my screen.....

I've been trying to get ahold of Bill, because I want to go and see him before I move out of Utah in December. I recieved a response from Yangdu today, she said that Bill is in and out of the hospital and that they can't plan anything right now. It sucks but like she said health is priority number 1. I just hope the old man gets better.

Rusty,

If its okay I'd still like to come out and see you sometime. Please e-mail me and let me know when is best for you, and if it is still OK.

When I spoke with Yangdu last week when I ordered the Rose, she said Bill was on the couch resting. When I got home and sent payment via Paypal two days ago, she said health concerns were number one right now.

It never hurts to send smoke...

I got several emails with the "health is No. 1 right now" line in them and started to get worried.

Thanks for your input, Rusty et al. I know Uncle Bill must feel like hell. Having problems with your guts is about as uncomfortable as it gets sometimes. I guess the best thing we can do is send up smoke and prayers and stop acting like greedy little gadflies about our khuks. I wish him the absolute best. keep us posted, Rusty.

I was wondering why he hadn't posted lately. He was on quite often here recently and then nothing. Hope all is well.

prayers and thoughts sent to Bill & Yangdu.

I'm still here -barely. On my weak days I can't do anything except sit in the recliner. And, that's where I should be right now.

I'm still being tested. Upper GI scheduled for 13th and they are waiting for me to appear to give more blood. Since March I have given about 25 vials of blood. Last time I told them to schedule me for a transfusion.
