any one know if he is ok? hasnt been on in ages and hasnt emailed etc? just curious to see if anyone has heard anything?

more smoke and prayers for our brother Gravelface.

Hope all is getting better!

I've called his cel and left a couple messages, but have had no response. I'm a little concerned, but I know he'll call when he can.

There are a few of us who are a bit concerned. Obviously there are extenuating circumstances here. Hopefully he will know to communicate with people and let them know what's going on. Communication is key in business (and so many other things.)

Everyone here supports and respects Jason, so I'm willing to wait a bit longer, but he's had my TigerWarden for longer than it's been in my hands, and I'm missing my Leatherman Charge every day.

All I know is that the situation must be bad if he hasn't made the time to get on here and let us know what's up, so:

Smoke and well-wishes from Miami, Jason. Hope you and your family are managing through whatever tough times have come. Things will get better.

Again... relax. Some things are more important than a business deal, and while Jason knows the importance of communication, it sure sounds like there are priorities that supersede any transactions he had going. Jason's not exactly in the "knife business," nor does he make sheaths full-time. He's just a fan of the knives who sometimes buys and sometimes sells like the rest of us.

You will not lose out on your TW or Charge. From the smattering of info we got, sounds like folks will just have to be patient. Pretend it's a Ganzaaaa of old--you know, back when we waited several weeks to get emails. :p

I hope all is well with our well-respected brother HOG! :) Just in case, I will send up smoke for him immediately!

Hey, you know how it is: While you have a boatload of posts and have been around for a long while, I am not in the same situation. It's really good that you and so many others are really getting behind his reputation. I really appreciate knowing Jason's a quality guy. However, I'm sure that if you empathize you can understand the concerns of some of us who have NOT done business with him in the past. I'm not mad, just concerned (and not just about my knives...I think it's obvious there may be something serious going on for he and his family)...and like so many other hogs/hogettes and piglets, a little impatient as well :D.

That all said, I like being a member here, and I'm hoping to remain a part of the community, like so many others who've been here for a long time. I'm sure that a thousand posts from now, this will be a memory we all share, and maybe even something we impatient piglets laugh about.

If you check his profile it shows he was on the forum yesterday at 6:32PM and he has been on regularly............
He must know what's goin on.....

Heavens! I completely understand the impatience and it doesn't upset me in the slightest.

I had my impatient times, too. And, sadly, many bad and stressful times (like what's happening now to Jason). Somewhere along the way, my impatience ran out. :D;)

If the worst should happen, I've got your back and Jason's. I'm sure an extra TigerWarden or two is lying around my library or in a safe. And the Leatherman Charge is just as easily found. You will lose nothing ... guaranteed.

Signed ... Jamie G. G. Varni, PhD and many other groupings of letters ... you know where to find me. :D:)

Wow...

That is entirely unnecessary but incredibly appreciated. It also gives me that much more confidence in Jason. I really hope that someday you people hold my character in such high esteem. One of my measures of character is the people by whom a person is surrounded.

I must say, I've met more people who display integrity on here than any other forum I've been a member of. Thanks, Jamie. "We're Solid!":D

I meant basically the same as Jamie when I stated you won't lose out on this deal. I'm pretty sure I have an extra TW left, and Charges are just a couple of mouse clicks away. If there was a death or illness in Jason's family, such things take time and emotion to sort out. He may be checking in, but I doubt he has time to respond right now.

Well, let us all wait and see. Valley...we'll hear from Gravel when things cool down. I'm pretty sure of that.

And MMIAM, also.

None of us are concerned ... at all. It's easy to make such offers when you know, without question, that you're dealing with a man of real integrity. :)

Heck, I literally threw my ASH1 at him :D when he needed it to make sheaths. I'm not worried at all. Jason is solid and, as has been said, he'll be back soon enough. ;)

I am alive and back into the swing of things.

The old adage of when it rains, it pours has never been more true than recently. I have been out of state, in hospitals, at a funeral and it ALL hit one right after another. I put all my time and energy into my grandfather in his what seemed to be his final days with the discovery of a cancerous tumor and the surgeries to remove them, many late nights and long days in the hospital. During that time, he was convinced that was as good as dead and ask if my father and I would fix up his house as not to leave my grandmother worrying about the repair without him......he is an old military man who severed in the Korean War and he didn't die then and this cancer hasn't gotten him yet, so he his a tough old bird.

But on a sad note, my father's sister who appeared to be in great health, died of a heart attack on the 11th, she was 48 and her daughter's wedding was just the prior weekend, at least she was able to see it. My father has taken it harder than anything I have seen, so we have been together almost everyday since.

I have been a bit taken back with all this and with my own son being only a month old now I have been spending MUCH time with him and my family, but now things have now settled and I am back to "normal".

So first, I will apologize for my abrupt disappearance, and I will have everything back to everyone within a week if you still want them. Email me, call me, what ever you like, let me know your stance. jason.anderson8@us.army.mil

Again, I apologize about the delay, but from here on out, I am back and on top of things.
I just finished off 5 sheaths today, and packaged up 2 knives, they are going out tomorrow.

Jason

And I would like to thank everyone for your support and well wishes!:thumbup:
