I've been waiting for it for ages... People have apparently bought them but have they been released yet? Benchmade doesn't even list it on its website anymore.

Anybody know where these are available?
 
IT was a one time deal. They decided to stopafter the first run. Too many probs, but many people just think they didn't earn enough from it
 
Garageboy, I think it's two ways of saying the same thing. Too many quality control and manufacturing problems sounds the same to me as too expensive to manufacture at a price the market would bear - does that make sense?
 
There were only about 180 put out to market.

They ran into problems getting the quality control to pass standard, so they decided to scrap the project.
They did release the ones that passed QC, and if you see a couple, you'll notice that the numbers (all were numbered as First Production) go a good bit above 180. I've seen numbers in the 230 range, which means that a full 25% or more did NOT meet QC standards. You can't afford to have that high of a number not go out.
 
I really wanted one of those- I thought they were beautiful. Anyway thanks for the info, guys.
