Where's the grease?

Took my Small Micarta Insingo apart last night and saw no grease at all. This is the first time I found no trace of the grease. I know I put grease in there last time I cleaned it. This knife gets most of my carry time. Didn't wash, didn't blow it out. I think it's been a month or two since last lubed.

Have I been too stingy with the grease? I don't put much so as not to attract dirt/lint. I guess I will use more grease. I put little dobs on, not a bead.

I'd call an exterminator. Sounds like your house might be infested with grease monkeys. Check for missing bananas as well

Just becasue you can't see it doesn't mean there is not a film on the washers and blade. How was the action? If it was nice and smooth then you are doing it right:)

I grease mine so lightly that after a week you wouldn't notice any in there.. As long as the knife opens smoothly I don't worry about it.. My normal test is to see of the blade drops under it's own weight when I release the lock.. If it doesn't, I'll clean it up and apply a speck to each washer

It's always very smooth, no issue there.
It's been on my person and it gets pretty hot and humid here, working in my vegie garden.
Ok, I'm not concerned. I'm being nitpicky.

When I used the grease, the blade never opened easily. I now use Kano oil. I dip the end of the closed knife in a jar of the oil, and it is much easier, and slicker to open. But the blade never falls open, never did.
