I started out here in June 2001, shortly after I bought my first real knife - a Spyderco Native. It was interesting to search through my old threads and look at the evolution of my interests over these past few years, as well as the ebb and flow of my interest in this field. It was also interesting to see that many of the old-timers who helped me in the beginning aren't around any more, as well as to see that some of the people that I thought were relatively new had actually posted in some of my threads way back when!
At any rate, I've received a lot of assistance from Bladeforums, and I can only hope that the occasional contribution of my own experiences has helped others as well.
Enough sentimentality....here's to the next thousand!
