Looking good - the kettle bell looks like it is working for you.

After an initial big drop I seem to be losing about 1lb every two weeks. Now sitting at a stone lighter than when I started. Only a couple of pounds away from my first target of 15 stone which should be in the next few weeks.

From 264 to 227 and still falling. When I'm feeling a bit hungry I knit :) takes my mind off of it. Got a bunch of blaze orange hats piling up.

Yeah, I'm done. Actually, I haven't worked out in about a week. School just started again, so my time is becoming very limited. I am working out only 1-2 times a week now. Also will be focusing on cardio a lot more. Foregoing weight goals since the stress, time, and eating habits, won't help at all. Plus it really isn't as important(as cardio), since I would lose that weight the second I slow up a bit.

Nice Kettle bell Christof. I love using those things. (Hey, nice progress too .)

I used Kettle bells, since, well, I started lifting. So awesome for indoor and outdoor workouts, you can do so much with them and they don't cost much. The fastest way to lose weight without structural damage to your joints is road biking. A one hour ride can burn as much as 3/4 pound of fat, depending on your metabolism and ammount of effort you put into it. It's also extremely healthy for your heart. Great job Cristof, keep it up.

I'm still in, but no pics. I'm at 229 just now. The summer was a bit tough for me- surgery (to remove all hardware from my legs)and 2 week bed rest and restaurant food while on vacation in New Jersey did not do me much good. But........ things are really looking up right now. I can actually walk most of the time without a limp (first time in 2 years) and I can hop!!!!! Not a real jump but I have not left the ground since jumping out of that airplane, and it feels good (but no more airplane jumps unless the plane is going down too). Physio has started up again- my therapist is kicking my butt and making it harder each time. Today was a 2.5 hr workout- with him I don't need a personal trainer as he hits my limits. I am walking at least 4 km each day to get to the bus (4 hours on a bus per day though) and performing massage again, plus we are working on stretches and other such techniques this semester. Plus getting the family out for as many walks as possible, partly to keep the wife's mind off of her mothers cancer, and partly because soon enough it will be minus 40. I will be hitting the gym at least twice per week to work on walking (running is my next physical goal) and whatever time I have left will start slowly hitting weights. Still can't bend my feet to crouch so that takes away many activities, but it is so much better than when I was in a wheelchair. Still not drinking pop (soda to you guys) and milk only in cereal and smoothies to cut down on fat- which kills me as I am a milk fiend.

You guys better be careful as I gave you a 2 month head start but I'm coming up the back as fast as I can (unless I am hobbled tomorrow from today). I'll see you at the finish line!

I'm still at it, but there have been several more "cheat days" (and a couple of "cheat weeks!") Here's my progress so far:

May 1 - 240.0
June 1 - 227.6
July 1 - 212.4
Aug 1 - 206.6
Sept 1 - 196.6

I've dropped the weight training for now and had to reduce the number of rides per week. Once I hit 180 I'll shift focus to gaining muscle.

I forgot my kettlebell on the camping trip this weekend, so I did presses and uphill walks with a 65-70 pound rock I found on site. Hoorah.
