Wheres the tip ?

i was in a gun shop today lookin over some knives hoping to get a look at a few Benchmades when i noticed one of them with no tip .......not the best way to sell a knife right ?

It's a rescue model and tip-less on purpose. You don't want to stab the people you are cutting out a car. ;)
 
Like others have said, it's a rescue model (the Triage) that's supposed to be that way. But I do agree that BM's implementation of the blunted tip on the Triage looks a bit odd: they don't round off the "corners" of the blunted tip, which can make it look like the end of the blade was simply snapped off rather than intentionally made that way.
 
yeah tell me about it. i did a tripple take an swore i saw bare steel at the tip but oh well guess i didnt but anywho it still left a sour taste in my mouth an who knows had i not seen it i might have bought something
 
Yeah--that's a rounded safety tip so you don't stab the person you're trying to save. Has a webbing cutter that flips out of the other end as well. Don't fault the store for selling a rescue knife. ;)
