Wheres the Winkler love?

So wheres the Winkler love? I have been looking into buying one (this being my first big dollar knife purchase) and I have been using the search function heavily. Only there seems to be a very small following in the consumer market. Why? Additionally there isnt much praise for 5160 either, It seems everyone always has a steel they would rather use in just about every application. So why is it that military SO and Seal teams prefer winklers stuff over anything else? I am gonna get either the field knife or the bushcraft. PLEASE POST PICS IF YOU HAVE ONE! and your thoughts/Experiences too. Thanks

I am trying to sell my Spike now so I can get the Field knife. Love the sheath and grip ergo's on the larger ones especially in the horse stall matt. keepem sharp

I got the belt knife a few weeks ago and am impressed and very pleased. :thumbup:

I'm not LE or mil, and I could care less which blades elite tactical groups use. That stuff doesn't have anything to do with my needs. This is not the same as claiming that I'm immune to a little over the top stuff. When I saw the Winkler 2 promo video, I thought...

"I NEED ONE OF THOSE SO I CAN CUT OPEN A HONDA!!!"


Cutting open Hondas isn't really part of my day, either. I could make it be, though!
