If you had the choice between...

-Mountaineer I
-Aviator
-Shadow III

...for an EDC which would you choose and why?

Another vote for the Mountaineer I. :D

Oh, I didn't tell you why Mountaineer I (out of these 4-inchers you listed):
a) highest grind of them all (best cutter)
b) most hollow grind of them all (best cutter again)
c) very fine point

Just compare carefully the grind lines of Mountineer I and Shadow III. Sadow is more stout knife, but for EDC I prefer best cutter/

that's it :D

But that pancake sheath with the Shadow III carries so comfortable and when most people see it they think it is some kind of screw driver or some other non-sheeple tool. It's also one of the round handled ones that is comfortable in my small hand.

I use the my shadaow III pancake sheath with mountaineer I....works fine. The mountaineer finds it self being carried alot more than anything else.

For a short time I had the Shadow III and loved it. Cut like crazy and was small enough to wear everyday and not freak out the sheeple.
I ended up giving it to my brother and now carry a Fehrman PeaceMaker.

Well I do plan on getting more 1 piece knives eventually, but I'm glad I chose the Mountaineer I as my first, and I'm also glad most of you agree with me. It really is a cutting monster, and I do love the sharp tip. I still haven't been able to really use it yet, but that will change when I get back to AZ for the summer!

Nice choice. I really like the Mountaineer II for the larger handle/grip. In the end, IMO, the Sheeple can just get used to it.
