Ok so I bought my first two beckers a few weeks ago (bk2 and bk17) and well... ive always liked knives but now Im hooked again. Now the question is, which one do I buy next? I think I like the BK14 design, and I really have no direct need for one but I want one and I figure that seems like a good enough reason haha. My question is what do you guys like better, the bk14 or the bk24? As far as I'm aware, the only difference is 1095crv vs. D2.

My first was a BK2 last month. I then went ahead and bought a BK14 which I had no use for. As it turns out teh BK2 is straped to my pack and the 14 goes almost everywhere with me. My suggestion is get a BK14 or an 11. They are the perfect size for every day use.

Well, you already have a couple of the little fellers so buy a BK-9.

No one has a BK18, it don't exist yet, mostly because Ethan and I can't sit down and do up the damn drawings.......we always talk about guns, politics and antics.

Need to make a note, do what we are supposed to do.......

You're correct, the steel is the only difference. 1095cv is a good steel and less expensive, D2 is more expensive but holds an edge better(and takes longer to sharpen) and has higher corrosion resistance which is why they aren't coated. There might be some other advantages to D2, I'm not too familiar with metallurgy and all that.

As far as the bk18, as soon as it hits shelves...

I was looking at the bk7 too when i got the bk2 but when i need something that big, i usually go with a machette (usually when im clearing quad trails) so if i go for something bigger ill probably end up getting the bk4

Bigghoss- thanks for the confirmation based on that im leaning more towards the 1095, and put the extra money towards scales, and either a tdi clip or non-glass sheath.
