Well I have 150$ dollars to spend and I want to get m first benchmade folder. I have wanted a 940 or a Bedlam for sometime, but I can't make up my mind I am totally open to suggestions, and pics are always great!

I own tons of benchmade knives. My new favorite is the Onslaught. Around $150 and perfect in every way. Opens fast. Super sharp. Big. A fierce slicer. And cool looking too.

I have to agree. For the money probably the best value.

Purchased my first Benchmade on Friday (Knife Works recommendation from this forum. Thanks!)

Decided on the 585 Mini Barrage, which is well below your limit. Lets me check out Benchmade quality and the much heralded Axis mechanism in a reasonably sized EDC piece. Grip / Mini Grip would have worked too, but I wanted to try an assisted blade this time around.
Other serious contenders were the 470, 581 and 707

Benchmade Rift. They come in a black G10 handle or a gray/black mix.

If you want a big folder, 710 or Nitrous Stryker PE. Two very competent folders. If you want something smaller, Sequel 707 or Nitrous Stryker Mini. Two fantastic medium/small folders. I enjoy my Sequel 707 the most. Small, light weight but a very sturdy knife that will take care of any/most of your needs.

The 860 is a very cool knife. If you're willing to carry a knife that has a look like that, and of that size, I'd go with it. For a smaller and much lighter knife, the 940 is also a great choice. I perfer the blade on the 943 though myself. For something in between those two, the Rift is also an excellent choice, it's tough, but not over the top, and it cuts well. The Onslaught or mini Onslaught have wide, flat grinds (I believe pretty thin too). I haven't tried one, but I'd expect them to be excellent slicers. They have an odd pocket-clip though. One that's too often over looked is the 51. If you can legal carry a bali, you probably wont be able to find a lighter, easier to carry knife with this type of length. Plus it looks cool and is fun to play with.
It just all depends on what size you prefer and what your main use will be. Hard to go wrong with any of them in my opinion.

If you're able in any way to put some more loot with that $150, I think you can still get the LE 806. That would be where my money would go if I had any. lol

I like the large Bone Collector in sculpted green/black G-10, with D2 blade steel, and Axis Lock. Makes for a fine edc.

So would the Bedlam be totally unable to do utility tasks? I really like that one. Found one for a good price.

For what it's worth, the 940 was my first Benchmade (and my first "real" knife) over a decade ago and 40+ knives later it's still in my top three Every Day Carry. I don't own the Bedlam but it certainly seems weaponized...

I own the model 740 DeJaVoo. It's a wee bit more at $160, but I think it's worth it. S30V steel with bronze bushings and G10 scales, so it's made of quality components.
It's almost always with me, and holds a wicked edge. ;)
Bottom knife in this picture.

I do like the looks of the dejavoo. I really want to go with the Bedlam, I dont really know how I would explain the knife to a cop if need ever arose, plus its bigger than michigans legal limit. I dont know. I am a law abiding citizen and I dont have any kind of record, seems like I would be fine.

Onslaught is great and if you look around you can get it for under $120 new.

+1. Bedlam for cool factor, 940 or 943 for a lightweight EDC blade.

I agree on the cool factor of the Bedlam. I've got the auto and it is cool as hell, but not as practical. I like a larger folder than the 940 or 943, so I'd go with a Rift (950) as my EDC choice. (again, under $120 shipped)

You guys don't think the blade is too thin? I mean I am not planning on stabbing anyone but it looks pretty thin. I love the looks though.
