Which Benchmade next

I am a newbie to folding knives as I was interested mostly in kitchen knives. The only Benchmade that I have is a 707 sequel which I love but I'm ready to buy my next benchmade. I would like one a little bigger. Any suggestions? Thanks

The 710 is its classic big brother. It might be long but it carries like a smaller knife. Or go all out and grab an Adamas.

A little bigger would be the griptilian! Do a search for Keyman on the board he does custom scales as well for it!

I'll second the Griptilian. I don't have one but should by the end of the week :D I was debating what EDC knife to go for under $200 the other week and it was pretty much down to a ZT350, Spyderco Chapperal S30V in CF or the Grip. The ZT seemed to have pulled ahead, up until I started playing around with the customizer. I had seen S30V was an option but once I clicked on the black sheepsfoot blade I was sold. I blacked out the rest of the knife and never even changed it from the tan scales. Hopefully I should have it in hand to post up soon. Not that it isn't anything I think you guys haven't seen at least 3 times in the past 6 months already, but I think that black sheepsfoot blade with the tan scales looks really sharp (literally & figuratively ;) ).

Any one that strikes your eye. Benchmade won't let you down which one you choose. Find one you like and get it

The 950 Rift is a great knife. Great size to handle a variety of tasks. 710 is cool too but I am not the biggest fan of recurves on a folder. 940 is a great choice too.

I've had my eye on the 530 for awhile. Actually just placed an order for one 2 minutes ago lol.

My vote is for a 943. I love that knife. The 950 Rift like somebody already mentioned is another favorite of mine. You would be happy with either. I also have a 707 too but I never liked the ergonomics of that knife....too small for my hands I guess. Of course, if you really want to be happy buy an Emerson ;)

Here's a photo of my 943 and another one next to the 707 for size reference....

If you want something with the same design cues as a 707, I'd recommend the 710. Beast of a knife that's actually very compact and carryable. The various Griptilians (H20s, Mini Grips, tantos, combo edged, special editions) are all excellent knives, but in my opinion, the 710 is in a class of its own. There's a good reason its been in continuous production for over 13 years...it just "works".
