I was going through my knife collection yesterday and realized I have more of ZT and Spyderco each than Benchmade. Really want to pick up one more Benchmade folder but dont know which.

Currently I have Ritter full size grip kw exclusive m390, 710-1401, and 940-1501. Had a 810-1401 and sold due to the handle ergo and needing $$ to buy a Hinderer. Was thinking about re-picking it up, well, only if the g10 flat is blue. Also was hoping to get a mini Ritter grip m390 to match, but it is no longer available.

Anthem looks interesting but the price point and reported issues by some are kind of discouraging.

Have no plan to get into the gold class.

What will be the knife used for? I dont know, maybe not much for actual use (please do not curse me for not using my knives. I do, just that I have too many). I guess I just want to have another Benchmade folder to fondle and to experience positive things that I have not with the other four.

Lets say I do not want to spend more than $250 and the blade length is a non factor.

Thoughts and suggestions?

I'd say Anthem for sure. It's just about perfect as a carry knife. I love 20CV, its super smooth and relatively light, feels super solid and I would not hesitate to use it for any task I use a folder for. BM warranty and blade replacement policy are awesome. It really fills that niche between a small and a large Sebenza for me. It has been my most carried knife since I got it. I really don't find myself hardly carrying anything besides my Anthem and my CRK's. I wouldn't worry too much about the quality control issues given BM's warranty. They are def more susceptible to F&F issues than Spyderco or some other manufacturers IMO, but I'm never worried due to their warranty. I really think waiting around to buy one used off the exchange is the way to go in the $340ish range.

Aside from that, I was pretty surprised by how much I enjoy my 555-1. Once again, 20CV is amazing. Love the spyderhole. It's not too small for me, and it's big enough to do just about any EDC task for me. Great value for about ~$120 used on exchange. I really liked my Crooked River, but ended up selling because it was bigger than what I'd ever really carry. I'm really hoping for a Mini Crooked River -> Exclusive with something other than S30V. Nothing wrong with S30V, but I think it is the most generic steel out right now. But BM does a good job on their S30V IMO.

Probably not a 940-1 since you already have a 940-1501

I saw a Mini Onslaught on the exchange for $100 the other day that was pretty tempting also... Not sure if it's still up.

The Bugout I received takes a hard swing to close. Not a fan. That was about my only complaint though. But the furthest from free dropping I've had on a BM

818...looks really good. Loved the larger original but this version looks promising in a reduced package.

It might even fit my hand. The 808 was very uncomfortable for me. If the 818 fits me more like the Rift, then it might be my answer for a hard use knife under 3.5".

I've been very impressed by my 698 Foray. Doesn't seem to get much love or publicity, probably due to the recurve, but it's a great knife.

I've got a Barrage (m390 version, the 581), that I carried off and on for a while. I like the knife itself...I'm just sort of over the whole a/o thing; so it sits.
Love the Rift. I put off buying the manual version for several years; but (aside from having the auto) I'm at a loss as to why.
The next Benchmade I purchase will likely be the Anthem

I'm not sure if its appealing to you but the Benchmade Proxy is such a beautiful knife.

IMO, Presidio 1 or 2, Adamas, and/or the CR might be some future classics which might be nice for your collection.

Thanks everyone for chiming in. It is still difficult for me to decide which one to grab, so I guess I will just patiently wait.
