Decided On getting a Benchmade Rescue Hook for a friend of mine who will deploy this Christmas, but not sure which one would be better. Stuck between the 5(Smaller) and the 7(medium). It mainly comes down to sheath size as I figure this will be mounted on vest, has anyone carried either of these or have any preferences?

I used a 7 on my PFD for a few years, then switched to the bone collector hook, cuz I can't sharpen hooks.
Anyway, I recommend the 7, easy to use with gloves, harder to fumble under stress, and the vinyl handle dip is great for traction.
