Which blade steel for a Speedtech??

SPEEDTECH is currently only offering 154CM.

Unfortunately, we are having trouble updating our website, so some of the options listed may not be available.

If you are interested, please email me and I will send you a list of what is currently available.

Stay sharp,

Jim

In case anyone is wondering, 154CM is the American steel the Japanese cloned into ATS34. They're very similar, the heat-treat recipe is the same but many opinions seem to put 154CM fractionally ahead in performance.

It's a fine choice for a blade this size. Depending on heat-treat, 440C can actually be made tougher (in "pry-bar" terms) but it's a BEAR to sharpen in comparison. TRUST me on this!
