Was wondering if anyone knows which blade steel was used in the Schatt & Morgan Premiere Series.

I'm looking at a 2003 Railsplitter from this series but would prefer either D2 or ATS-34 steel over 420 HC or 1095 steel.

I've seen the new 2014 Railsplitter from Queen in D2 steel which I like, but I'll go for the Premiere version if the steel is right.

Many thanks.

The Premier knives are Clarence Risner's SFO's. They are all 420HC.
It's been a few years since the last release, I believe the last one was the humpback lockback whittler.

Usually for S&M if it says ats34 it is, if not-not. However, it is not a hard rule. Their 420 is fully serviceable.
