Hi Everyone,

Since the Bussecombat Site is being re-designed and people on this forum are pretty knowledable I was wondering if someone could tell me which Busse knives are currently available for purchase from the shop? I can't seem to find any online dealers that have Busse blades in stock and the ones that come up for sale on the forum seem to be snapped up quickly by "Hogs".

I am considering getting my first Busse and any help on sources would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Dmax

"is being re-designed" is a very generous thing to say about the site.

I think the plan has changed to providing a hand drawn lithograph of a web site to everyone who sends an SASE to the Busse offices. Then you circle the knives you want, write your shipping info on the shopping cart section of the lithograph, and mail it back.

That or the site was dissassembled at the electron level and some of the key electrons have become lost.

I'm down for the SHSH in A2. Gotta snag it before Dwayne wakes up. :eek: Should of never told him how neat they are.:rolleyes: Now I've created competition in my little collection intrest. :rolleyes: ;)

From what my sources tell me if, and ONLY if you order on-line you can get:

1. Nimrod Special Edition Satin Jack close outs;
2. Straight handled Steel Hearts in A2;
3. Prototype folder "mock-ups" (may not have been sharpened or fully heat treated yet.)

If this is all one can buy, is Busse a going concern or just selling off inventory?

It's hard to understand such a popular brand reduced to sale by rumor.

Thomas... careful. You are playing into the hands of pranksters. Call the shop. See what they have to say.

Sorry. My ignorance of things Busse is monumental. BUT I have been trying the Busse site for months with no success. Had to figure out just what's up if you're on the outside looking in.

Thomas,
Take little that you read on this forum very seriously ;)

The site is obviously down but Busse Combat is not. They are still making/selling knives. The best way to get up-to-date info is call the shop 419-923-6471 or if you have a specific blade in mind just put up a wanted ad over on the "wanted to buy" forum.

I hope this helps.

:D:D

Isn't it interesting how dependant we have all become on the Internet to buy things... I have called the shop before and had one of the best 'direct' buying experiences ever!

Thanks for the welcome Eric. I called the shop on Friday and they mentioned they might have a couple of models available in the size of blade I am looking for. I also recived some help from a fellow kind forum member. ;)

I found Bad Mojo's site an indispensable resource in my quest to familiarize myself with the Busse model range.

Now comes the hard part, figuring out which blades I want to get first. I am partial to Active Duty since it has a beatiful snakeskin nucarta handle and a natural finish blade and it is potentially EDC-able where I live.

I also like the Natural Outlaw for all-around use medium sized knife. I better call the shop now and check if they have these two models in stock...

Welcome Dmax. :) I got to handle an Active Duty on Friday. It's a pretty sweet blade and REALLY SHARP!:eek::D I am the new owner of a Satin Jack and that knife is just plain sweet! Perfect size and shape for me. Good luck with your purchases. It can be quite addicting. lol
